Kim, Pat, Debbie and the Guys I want to thank you all for the best performance I have ever had.. and I mean it… Your manners, professionalism, courtesy, was taken in by all of us, especially the crowd. I can’t tell you how many people commented back to me about your show.
Thank you all again and look forward to working with you next year
Savoy Brown,
What a show, what a band, what a wonderful experience you all shared with the fans at Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry NH a couple days ago. Thank you all for the experience. I had my doubts after listening to the tracks from the late 60’s early 70’s on my way to the show but you all did not let us down. You four have a damn good thing going with a sound that rings true to the rockin’ blues of our era! You compliment each other. Hats off to you all. Kim hasn’t changed but has kept his style true. What a pro! What a treat for the fans! Nothing but top notch performance. Can’t wait to track you all down next time your in town.
Best of the road to you all as you make your trek across the country and back again. Hope to catch you in Foxboro in May.
With much love and respect for you all,
- M and P

Kim and the new band showed the crowd why he has been around (43) years. A great display of professionalism and blues. The sound was great and the new guys held their own. Hats off for adding a new lead singer, Joe was a cool fit and the bass player got down. Look forward to the next show and thanks Kim for signing for me and getting photos. A fan willing to go to any lengths to see ya live.
Torch Club Show, Sacramento CA: August 2009
Really enjoyed seeing you, one of the 6-7 times that I have since the Fillmore West Days where you were the Headliner. No one out there today can play hard edged English Blues the way you do! As terrific as you are as a rock guitarist, I have always thought that you are at your best when you play the blues.
Looking forward to seeing you next time you come to Northern California.
Little Fox, Redwood City, California: August 2009
More than a few people walked out of the show last night saying, "That's not only the best show I've ever heard by SB, but up there with the best concerts I've ever seen." The band was tighter than a clenched fist with room for real musical artistry to boot -- not an easy combination. The addition of Pat on bass delivered a different dimension and there was a soulful boogie backbeat that brought Savoy standards to another level. When I got in the car on the way home and listened to all the great albums and original songs with keyboards and/or horns I said to myself, "Oh, yeah. That song originally had keyboards and/or horns! Didn't miss 'em a bit tonight." I've never felt anything other than satisfied and exhausted after a Savoy Brown show. Kim is a trooper, an artist, and Mr. Integrity. I hope he really felt the love and that he'll continue to visit the Bay Area every year. It was an incredible night that I'll relive for quite awhile. Thanks.
Riverhead Blues Festival 2009
Great show!! It was great meeting you after the show at the autograph booth.
I have passed the Savoy Brown rocking the blues torch to my 19 year old son.
Keep rocking the blues. THANKS.
Would you tell Mr. Simmonds that he has outdone himself on the ‘Out of the Blue’ album? Where in the world did ‘North Country Man’, ‘Don’t Tell Me to Smile’, and ‘Heart to Fill’ come from? I just picked up this CD and was smiling all the way down the road and that’s hard to do in Philadelphia. Can’t wait to get back to my own ‘north country: MINNESOTA”.
DAMN good album Kim and it wasn’t ‘Out of the Blue’ at all!
Dear Kim, I saw and heard you and the band at Humphrey"s on Valentine"s evening. You were so good! Tops! We loved you! ...You play the notes I want and love to hear. I love the blues. Its my favorite kind of music ... Alot of people play the blues but I don't like some of it ... Not eveyone can play the blues, let alone play them right. But when I hear someone that does, it heals my heart. Its like chocolate, roses and champagne... Mr. Kim Simmonds, may I say you have the heart of the blues! Because only a heart colored blue could play the blues like you play them!... We wish we could see you every week!
Was fortunate enough to get a signed copy of Steel immediately following its release. Man am I glad I did! Great work Kim. Having been a 'Brown' fan since Street Corner Talkin,' I was ecstatic when Steel finally hit the shelves. There's only ONE Kim Simmonds; truly one of the all-time great guitar aficionados of all time. Guys like Clapton, Stevie and even Jimi should all be proud such talent exists and is continuing to carry the 'blues' torch high. Rock on, Kim.

Kim and the band,
Caught your Phoenix show at the Rhythm Room on 2/11 - WOW! What an astounding performance. People do get better with age. The new stuff is great. Your guitar playing was spot on perfect and loose at the same time. The band sounded tight and everybody was having fun too. The sound was perfectly balanced and that is hard to do in a small club. Keep "Rockin' the Blues".
Just saw Savoy Brown with the Muggs Nov 22nd at the Bag. Great show. Kim excellent guitar. The show flowed with the Savoy Sound..What a pleasure to hear the New and Old..Great Show Thanks.
Great concert in Rome last October 9. Kim was really in top form playing a Les Paul (I think the better guitar for his sound). The new tunes are very interesting and the band is really impressive. Listening to the concert I was thinking of how much important is Savoy Brown music for me. I can look at my life thinking that when I was in my teen I had Blue Matter and A step further; then the Looking in and Raw Sienna period and so on. When I listen to same tunes it reminds me directly at how I was in the same period the album was released. Now I'm 56, so I have many things to remember and a lot of great music to connect with it. Kim is REALLY a great player and it is a fantastic pleasure to see him playing.
Had the pleasure of catching your live act and was very amazed at the guitar work. I was very pleased to see how he is keeping the style alive and bringing it out to Las Vegas.
My new wife found a bunch of your CD's at Goodwill. It seems that a music fan, possibly a musician, had died and his wife brought all his CD's there. Of the 130 or so my wife bought, There were several Savoy Brown in that collection, and I recall fondly the vinyl I have of y'all, Lions Share, Hellbound Train, and my favorite, Looking In. I have played in bands all my life, and the influence you have had on my guitar style is evident. Jimi H, SRV, Jimmy Page, Alvin Lee, Frank Marino, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, and Kim Simmonds. I am pleased to know you still are out there, and I intend to be in Annapolis MD on Dec 17 to see your show, and I'll try to bring all my band mates along.
I've enjoyed your music for years. Two days ago, I was listing to "Steel" while on a visit to Highland Park Cemetery in Cleveland Ohio. I stepped out of the car to visit a few graves and the very first stones I came across were like a visit to twilight zone. On one stone was the surname SAVOY and on the one right next to it was the surname BROWN. What are the odds! I stayed there quite a while, went back to the car and cranked up the Savoy Brown tunes and had a seat in the cemetery right next to the stones, enjoying the day.
This is for Kim. I have been a loyal follower of you and your guitar playing since 1965. You are in my top 5 all time great guitarists, right behind Frank Zappa. I just think you are so great. And I absolutely love your guitars, especially the Flying V.
